About Us wellness union

Diane's journey in wellness first began over 15 years ago when she took up the practice of yoga after experiencing lower back pain. She quickly realised many health benefits, along with improved back pain. She commenced her first teacher training in April 2011 - completing an Advanced Diploma. Along the years Diane also took up a great interest in meditation and has practiced many styles deepening her training and experience. Meditation is a particular area Diane is very passionate about sharing with her students. “When I first started yoga and meditation it was for the physical benefits, but over the years the more I practiced, I gained balance in my life and yoga has taught me to be mindful and completely myself.”

    Sandra spent 18 years in the busy IT corporate world, helping customers around the globe as Solution Consultant, she realised the importance of finding the inner peace for a better harmony between work&life.  

    Back in 2009, Sandra discovered Ashtanga Yoga in Antibes, France. Since then she has been fully dedicated to a regular Yoga practice and has been studying Knoff Yoga. Hatha and Vinyasa/Ashtanga  in in various places. In 2014, she moved with family from London to Melbourne and has been continuing the study/practice under the guidance of Greg Cooper at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne. She is grateful to have met Master Nicky Knoff (2016) and did the teacher training (2017) under her guidance. 

    Yoga is a life-long & exciting journey!  Sandra is grateful for all the knowledge, guidance and inspirations she has received so far along the way from various international and renowned teachers. She is fully committed to Health&Wellbeing of people, supporting them along their Yoga transformation.

    Alitta is a passionate practitioner of Yoga and Meditation and has been teaching since 2012. She loves the aspect of community and coming together and that in sharing these practices with her students find more ease, vitality and flow in their bodies, and in their lives at large. Her classes draw from a number of Somatic movement practices with a focus on breath, mobility and developing interception.
    Alitta seeks to learn how to promote diversity, body positivity and inclusivity as well as Trauma Sensitivity in all her work to ensure that her classes are a safe and supportive space for all participants.
    Karen travelled extensively around the world for 14 years living for extended periods of time in India, China, Tibet, Europe and the Middle East learning of different cultures, religions and philosophies. It was in 1995 in Dharamsala India that Karen’s yoga journey began. As she began to feel the transformation yoga had in her life she felt inspired to share the gift of yoga with others... Upon Returning to Australia she has since completed 1 x 200 Hour Hot Yoga, 1 x 80 Hour Hot Flow, 2 x 25 Hour Yin training from Grass Roots Yoga and 150 Hour Advanced Post Graduate teacher training at Ihana Yoga. She strives to cultivate happiness and balance through mindful living, hoping to inspire her students to do the same. With that mentality she teaches her classes from her heart creating an uplifting, safe environment for students to begin to explore and expand within their own body and consciousness. She is continually inspired by yoga’s transformative power—both internally and externally. She strives to bring a sense of fun, freedom and kindness to her classes.

      About Wellness Union

      Anna has had an interest in Yoga and alternative healing since she was 14, where she practised at the Sivananda Ashram in Perth.

      Anna completed her first teacher training in 2005. She has been to India 8 times to study Yoga and Meditation. At the Bihar School of Yoga in India, she lived for 2 years to study and live as a Sannyasin (Yoga monk). She completed a 2 year Diploma of Satyananda Teacher Training in 2014. Anna also has a great interest in Indian natural medicine and studied Ayurvedic Massage and Consultancy in Dharmsala India with tradition Dr (Vaidya) Sibichen George. She has completed many Vipassana, Theraveda Meditation retreats in Thailand, India and Australia.

      “I have noticed a great change in my wellbeing since integrating these therapies as a way of life. I believe that we have the power to live happy and fulfilling lives when we can see ourselves clearly”.  

      Anna teaches yoga and meditation across Melbourne.
